Frequently asked questions
What counts as one “essay”? What does it include?+
The B1 Goethe writing exam has three parts (three Teile). Teil 1 is an informal letter or message about everyday life. Teil 2 is a personal opinion on a given topic. Teil 3 is a more formal letter or message.
What if I submit after the deadline?+
Late submissions move to the following week. That slot is not refunded because the teacher already planned around it. Submit early when you can.
Can I switch plans mid-cycle?+
DeutschWeg does not support mid-cycle plan switches yet. Your current plan runs until it ends. Near expiry, open Account → My plans to choose the next cycle.
How do I submit essays and receive feedback?+
Each week you receive the prompt by email, then submit on the Writing page. Teachers grade your work and send detailed feedback to you.
I am still at A2 — can I join?+
The course fits best at B1 or late A2. If you are unsure, take the free level check — send one essay and get feedback within about two days.
